A Charleston Wonder!

I came across this Charleston home (technically right outside of Charleston on Isle of Palms a stone's throw from Breach Inlet) and just have to share it with you because it looks like true BLISS!!

Enjoy!

"Stately round pillars and diamond-pattern flooring (alternating limestone and marble) extend a grand welcome typical of historic Caribbean manor houses."

"A breezy cabana encased in Bahamian awning shutters is outfitted with crisp white cushions for lounging and entertaining."

"Mahogany shutters wrap the master suite terrace and frame a pristine view of the Atlantic Ocean."

"The Bakers kept it simple in the guest quarters with crisp white linens and serene pastel artwork."

May The World Be Your Oyster This Weekend!

I am heading to The River this weekend
for a fun-filled weekend with friends
complete with Oysters!

May the world be your oyster this weekend!

PS - I am so very sorry for not keeping my posts up this week.
I promise to be better next week

 Oyster Stick Mirror
Short history lesson - Oysters would grow and mature attached to sticks like those used in this mirror, and the oyster farmers would gather the oysters from the sticks. After several seasons, these uniquely marked, vintage sticks would need to be replaced and recycled.

What a cute (and very festive!) way to hold down the tablecloth!
