Clean Slate

New Year, fresh slate.
Speaking of slate - I love it,
both the color (grey and blue) and the rock!

Enjoy some crisp, clean slate inspiration to get you thinking about what you're going to do with your fresh slate in 2014!

Grey walls and crisp white cabinets in this kitchen are perfectly accompanied by beautiful slate floors

Slate carriage way adorn with lanterns -
would love to see more of this fabulous New Orleans house!

Slate floors can be cold but the high beams, cozy furnishings, and lush looking rug make this room so warm an inviting!

Tiled Tuesday

Tiles can add color and texture to just about anything - floor, ceiling, walls, backsplash!
Don't be afraid to tile!

Lovely tile work on the kitchen walls!

How great would this be in your farmhouse - with the barn-like doors?
Oh, and love the tile too!

White tile meets white cabinets - looks clean and crisp!

How fun is this tiling
I'm picturing an awesome half bath in that dream house...

 Fabulous master bath tiled floor

This is one welcoming mud room - tiled floor and all!

Not sure I could ever commit to Chevron Tile as bold as this but more power to you if you can - I'm coming to visit! Love it!

Nemo tiles - love the red border

It's Friday, I'm In Love {with a little farmhouse inspired bliss!}

I love country music - LOVE IT - and I had a ball spending Wednesday evening Dancehall Dreamin' with Pat Green!
And, while I'm a beach girl through and through (in case you haven't already picked up on that), I will gladly admit that I enjoy the charm of the country and "rural living" from time to time.
A bit of time spent in the country can be such a breath of fresh air - literally - which is why I think I am drawn to some of these rooms that evoke the "new farmhouse style." The natural materials and hues are so warm leaving me with that same feeling of a day in the country.

Hope this weekend brings you whatever breath of fresh air you may be in need of!
