Blake and Ryan Sure Have Great Taste

As if I needed another reason to love Ryan Reynolds... He and Blake picked a page out of my book of favorites!
The perfect rustic, chic, southern plantation is said to have been the place to be this weekend for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' nuptials! Boone Hall Plantation, just outside of Charleston, is full of charm so not surprising that Blake and Ryan found it the perfect place to say 'I do'!

The Cotton Dock on the grounds of Boone Hall Plantation is one of Charleston's most popular wedding venues and while it would typically be a tad on the rustic side for me it is about as rustic chic as it gets and provides the perfect backdrop for a fabulous evening celebrating.

With some beautiful decor like this, it's hard not to love the setting!

Anxiously waiting Blake and Ryan's photogs but until then, this will give you an idea of how beautiful they will be...

Wednesday's Wedding Inspired Bliss!

Wow, friends -- it has been entirely too long!! I am slowly but surely getting my life back now that last week's work conference is over.  I can happily say that a year's worth of planning becomes all worth it when things go as smoothly and are as successful as they were last week! But phew, am I glad to be on this side of it!!

I have missed you!!
I was able to take a short break from working round the clock for a little fun at the wedding of a best friend in Charleston, SC over Memorial Day.  I am honored to have been able to help in the planning of such a dear friends wedding and what fun it was to see it all come to life!!
Here is just a small preview of her fabulous pics (courtesy of the fabulous Jennifer Bearden)  -- can't wait to see the rest when they return from their honeymoon!

The happy Bride and Groom!

The Bride and her Maids in Firecracker Pink!

The wedding party

The bouquets were heavenly...

...and the centerpieces were fabulous!!

The sunset could not have been prettier!

Button Day!

Happy Button Day!

Hope your day is filled with something cute as a button
...and free of anything that pushes your buttons!

These gold button pushpins will spruce up any bulletin board

Guest bags fastened with custom buttons

Button shaped soup packed in a cute little box fastened by buttons covered in cute fabric

Jars of buttons invoke tones and texture (yet are inexpensive to collect in large quantity)

Who said you can't incorporate buttons into almost anything?
Button details make this vintage inspired wedding cake complete.

Framed Button Monogram - how cute would this be in a nursery?

Oh, What a Wedding!!

I am back from what was the most perfect, fun-filled, joyous wedding weekend of my best friend, C!!
Each wedding event was complete with loads of bliss and cheer (and of course some tears of joy here and there - namely from my Maid of Honor toast which despite the 12+ months I had to prepare it turned into more of a I-can't-talk-because-I'm-so-teary couple of words...) all leading up to what was the most picturesque, beautiful, and special wedding ceremony and reception.
I am honored to have been part of the entire weekend and to stand by C & P's sides as they started their happily-ever-after together!

Here is a quick glimpse of what's to come!

I am chomping at the bit to see the professional photos as one of my all-time favorite photographers, Patricia Lyons, shot the wedding and I just know they are going to be nothing short of AMAZING.
Be forewarned, I will likely be over-sharing them with you once they're finished!

One of the many beautifully orchestrated wedding festivities was the Bridesmaids Luncheon held at the Bride's Godmother's home in the "country."  I loved the rustic, shabby chic, yet sophisticated flower arrangements  so I just have to share!
(Note - apologies for the poor camera quality. Trust me when I say these pictures do not do the beautiful luncheon justice!)

Wednesday's Wedding Inspired Bliss -- Completely Smitten!

In light of all the upcoming wedding bliss I am lucky to get to be a part of -- with my best friend's wedding just over two weeks away -- I was bursting at the seams with excitement when "thumbing" (i.e. clicking) through this month's Smitten Magazine
Smitten always features weddings of varying styles and I look forward to finding some new ideas and tidbits to appease the aspiring wedding planner in me!
Here's to a Smitten Wednesday!

Tara Guerard's Tabelscapes
While fairly basic, Tara offers some simple reminders of the Dos and Don'ts for creating a beautiful tabletop

I do love all of the votive trend these days!

Asheville, NC Wedding
Perfect color palette for the Smokey Mountain backdrop
Beautiful flowers in turquoise mason jars make for the perfect centerpiece arrangements at this chic outdoor affair!

Charleston, SC Wedding at Lowndes Grove
This continues to be one of my all-time favorite venues!
I've been awing over weddings here for year's and each one seems to be uniquely different from the last yet equally as beautiful!
Also, my best friend is getting married here in May!

Fabulous lounge area for guests (and of course, you can't beat this view!)
