Wouldn't It Be Fun Wednesday

How fun would it be to have a 'cottage' of your own as exuberant and preppy as this? This is the wonderful work of fabulous John Loecke Interior Design, who describes this masterpieces as a "British country manor souped up with splashes of color."

The colors and patterns are wild but hey, why not!
I imagine you can't help but be happy in this abode!

Among all the fabulous details of this living room, how great is this painted floor? I've always loved painted floors - check out some of my other favorite Painted Floors

Textile Thursday!

I just love mixing prints and patterns!
When done properly, it creates such a unique and colorful look,
but a little warning....
use caution as the room can easily lose balance if the patterns aren't meshed to scale.

The 3-2-1 rule is a helpful tool to help coordinate and keep patterns to scale:
~ One pattern should be large scale and the main focal point;
~ then the next coordinating print should be medium sized
~ and then the third  print smaller.
