Eat Pi(e)!

The day comes once a year. March 14. 3/14. Pi Day
Of course, these beautiful delicious looking pies are not quite as mathematical as the Pi this day is intended to celebrate but every good celebration must have treats, right?
So celebrate Pi day with some delicious Pie treats -- it's only appropriate!

Chocolate Pecan Pie -- my favorite!

Run for the Roses Pie -- this bourbon infused pie is a traditional Derby Day treat!

Lemon Coconut Buttermilk Pie -- Sounds deadly!

Wimbledon Wishes!

With the honors of being the oldest international tennis event comes years of deep traditions that still hold true today -- strawberries and cream, an all white dress code, and grass courts.

Since we can't all be there, here is a little Wimbledon inspiration to fill your Monday!

Pi(e) Day in America

Today is March 14th, aka 3/14,
which I'm sure naturally makes you think of Pi, that infamous mathematical constant, doesn't it?
Nope - me neither! I am always up for celebrating random things so bring on the Pi Celebrations!

Of course "Pi" only makes me think of pies so of course I felt inclined to share with you some pies in celebration of National Pi Day!
After all, pies have been in the spotlight as the likely Food of the Year, giving cupcakes a run for their money! (Side note - who ever let cupcakes take the title of "food of the year" any way?)

Minny's Chocolate Pie -- made famous in one of my all time favorite books/movies!
"The Help's ending hinges on a secret involving Minny's famous chocolate pie. Newspaper columnist Lee Ann Flemming, one of the best bakers in Greenwood, made 53 chocolate pies during filming, including 12 vegan and gluten-free versions she prepared in just one day for actress Bryce Dallas Howard. Her fudgy version here is neither vegan nor gluten-free: It's as classic as it gets. You can make your own crust, but Flemming uses packaged." - Food and Wine
